ive got a 2001/y 2.2 and it came up with the same fault, itookn it it a main dealer not frachise. the told me i needed new fuel pump, regulator and particle filter in the exhaust a total of £1500. itook it to a local garage of citroen trained mechanics he change the electric fuel pump in the tank and topped up the diesel additive (elios) i think thats the write name for it and the fault has
I have only just come across this C4 anti pollution faulty warning at 46K miles. It has not affected the car's performance, but having now read some of the comments on this fault, I am now worried (ignorance is bliss!). The car is in for a service at the moment with this fault noted as one of the problems to look at.
It appears that this cat converter / anti pollution fault is a well. known citroen fault on 2000 to 2005 citroen c5 2.0 petrols so surely. citroen should do something about this and recall the car ?? or am I. asking too much.. This forum also mentions the sticking hydraulic. I have a citroen C2 and the anti pollution light has been on several times now , the codes so far have been the pre and post lambda sensors and the temp control unit with the thermostat and the coolant temp senders , all changed but it only lasts a short while till it comes back , also done the radiator , it uses oil at a rate of 1 litre every 500 miles but does not leak it onto the floor and The mark 1 C5 2.0 hdi does not have eolys fluid and an exhaust particle filter (FAP) so any problems related to these can not apply in your case. Still search though under anti pollution faults but you probably still need to visit a Citroen dealer (or other) who has a Lexia diagnostic tool. Collision Warning Light Problem.
